Learn More About CBD

There’s a lot of confusion about CBD right now and a lot of bad information out there. Our goal is to be the place you come for reputable, reliable information when it comes to using CBD products. Take a look at some of the FAQs below for a quick primer on CBD and why so many people are turning to it for wellness.

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a type of cannabinoid that comes from hemp extracts. Cannabinoids are naturally-occurring compounds found within cannabis plants, which interact with the body’s own endocannabinoid system (ECS).

Where Does CBD Come From?

CBD comes primarily from hemp flowers. The hemp flower is processed down into an oil, then distilled to refine the CBD content. From there, it’s made into all different types of products—from oils and edibles to creams and sprays.

Will CBD Get Me High?

CBD and other types of hemp oil will not get you high! CBD products are made from industrial hemp, which has very low THC content. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive—meaning it won’t give you a “high” feeling. In fact, all CBD products we sell contain less than 0.03% THC.

Is CBD Legal?

With the passing of the United States farm bill (Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018), CBD has become widely recognized as legal, due entirely to the fact that it’s considered an industrial hemp product. In order to fall within legal guidelines, however, all CBD products must contain less than 0.03% THC.

What are the Benefits of CBD?

Cannabinoids have a wide range of effects, from improving focus and alertness to anti-inflammatory properties. CBD is a powerful cannabinoid with a variety of effects still being studied. Early reports show that CBD is capable of minimizing and preventing seizures, improving blood pressure, reducing stress and anxiety, improving focus and/or easing joint pain inflammation. These effects are still being studied and not yet supported by scientific studies.
